Job Purpose
The Warehouse Manager is accountable for all aspects of warehousing operations for assigned territory (including 3rd party warehouses) or shift. The primary goal is to ensure that safety, accuracy and efficiencies are in place in receiving & storing products; and that orders are picked, prepared and loaded in a timely manner to ensure the on-time delivery of products requested by customers.
The position is responsible for producing all warehousing metrics including safety, security, quality, cost and productivity. In addition, the position is expected to manage or participate in capital, cost saving and CI projects and to champion process improvements and raise the level of accountability, productivity and decision making of staff.
Responsibility
1. Maintain a culture of health and safety, by executing the health and safety program. Facilitate root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans to address hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors. Act in accordance with all applicable health and safety legislation
2. Manage the operations of Lactalis warehouses by ensuring that key requirements and targets are achieved in health & safety, site security, GMP, product safety, quality, costs, productivity, inventory accuracy, order accuracy, on-time loading, customer satisfaction, staffing and capital/ technology/process improvement initiatives
3. Manage staff by determining labour requirements, setting efficient work schedules, hiring, setting priorities & objectives, reviewing performance and providing timely feedback, determining training and development needs, coaching, motivating, providing direction and taking disciplinary measures as needed.
4. Build and maintain positive labour-management relationships to effectively manage the operations in line with the collective agreement. Address employee concerns in a timely and resolution orientated fashion.
5. Prepare and analyze various reports such as labour utilization, fill rates, inventory accuracy. Investigate deviations from plan and develop and execute corrective action plans when necessary.
6. Facilitate the development and implementation of operational and capital budgets, safety compliance, training and production plans by monitoring results against plan and support corrective action plans accordingly. Ensure compliance with department or shift’s budget by controlling, monitoring and justifying expenditures versus plan.
7. Ensure GMP and S.O.Ps are adhered to at all times, and support compliance with the Grocery Code of Conduct.
8. Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in developing and implementing CI initiatives, in partnership with the COE. Effectively share best practices with other shifts.
9. Develop and execute strategies in support of Supply Chain, Plant and Corporate goals.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of material handling practices, including SOP, technical standards, and health and safety.
• Strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communications skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, and decision making skills
• People leadership skills and ability to develop and coach employees
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint) and SAP or other WMS systems
• Strong team facilitation/leadership skills with a demonstrated commitment to employees’ safety, development and continuous improvement

Compensation:
As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is: $99,100.00–$123,900.00 .
Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
