Global Purchasing Packaging Internship (M/F) - 6 months - Laval (53)

Your future role

Reporting to the Global Purchaising Rigid Packaging senior buyer, you will support in participating and managing daily business and strategic actions for the Purchaising Department. 

Rigid plastic categories include cups, bottle, caps, thermoforming sheet, resins for a worldwide spend above 500 million EUR. 

In a friendly and milticultural work environment, with daily professional interactions in English, you will benefit from the close management of your mentor and contribute to tender optimization, supplier imtegration strategies and supplier relationship management.

Among the assigned tasks:

Rigid PS FOIL:

• Category management
• Update the strategy (external data)
• Contribute to call of tenders

Cups Printing Technologies Project:

• Participate in the inventory, and the state of art of the offset printing technology thanks to meeting with cup suppliers, marketing (creative agency), graphic chain, equipment manufacturing...
• Support to create a best practice guide to improve and master high printing quality
• Define with the team a supplier grid evaluation
• Contribute to the elaboration of the European cups catalog: cups specifications, supplier panel, overall production capabilities, Lactalis products...
• Support the team in various projects: country maturity evaluation in order to identify adequate support and toolkits, internal benchmarks, market intelligence, double-sourcing projects...

Your strengths  

• You hold a Master’s degree in Business or Engineering from a recognized institution.
• You are fluent in both French and English, with excellent spoken and written communication skills. 
• You have a strong proficiency in Excel and possess excellent analytical abilities. 
• You are proactive, curious, and analytical, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team !
